When We Are At The End Of Our Rope

The Lord knows just how much we can handle.  We like to say that if God took this problem away we would be better off and would be so grateful and would increase our faithfulness to Him. Others think, “If the Lord would just give me this or that I’d be happier. We don’t know what we would really be like, but God does. He knows that if we had no problems we would forget him (many leave the church or attend less often when they are doing well). God knows how every decision effects every other. He knows when a problem might lead to a bended knee before Him or to a relationship that changes eternity for someone. Rather than question God, we need to trust Him and be faithful with whatever happens today. He sees the overall picture and knows things we don’t know.  So often we focus on what we don’t have rather than all we do have. Jesus said focus on today, be faith- filled and faithful. If we are faithful with little things, then He will give us what is best for us. Then we must choose to agree with what He thinks is best, or be angry with Him and choose our own way, taking matters into our own hands.

Proverbs 30:7–9 (NIV)  Two things I ask of you Lord; do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches but give me only my daily bread, otherwise I may have too much and disown you and say, “Who is this LORD?”
